@SpaciousCoder78 @codewizard I watch Chinese drama with English subtitles (and recently started watching the dramas again with only Chinese subtitles as I know the story/context already, but I can still catch only a few words most of the time, sometimes the whole sentence). I also use https://context.reverso.net ictionary/translation, https://strokeorder.com draw characters, https://libretranslate.com cross check translations, https://publicai.co/chat I chat with a few friends in Chinese.
@praveen thanks for those links. I had done a 3 years course in Chinese, and then l forgot everything.
Maybe I could begin again ???
Would you be my guide ??? :)))
@codewizard If you are interested we can learn together. 一起学习把.
@codewizard https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj__X2BRhyo&list=PL6xVgUZ4UP2MTlX8nv9yPdX2zlTMSYgV9&index=1&pp=iAQB this is my favorite cdrama. 我已经看了三次. You can watch with English subtitles and try to catch some words.
@SpaciousCoder78 @codewizard @ravi may have some ideas for German.
@praveen this is way too advanced for me. I need to start from the first stroke once again.
But, how do you type in Chinese on Android phone ??🤔🤔🤔
@codewizard listening can help even if you cannot type. I use fcitx to type in Android and it is pretty good. You can type in English and it will convert to Chinese. For example nihao becomes 你好 May be start with https://duolingo.com Chinese course as well?
@praveen I got stuck in re.
@praveen I need to write it down on paper, otherwise l can never remember the stroke order 😄😄😄😄
@codewizard https://strokeorder.com helps greatly, we can draw approximately (use the pen icon in search) and it will show similar characters to choose from and then we can see the stroke order animations.
@praveen do you know of any digital platform where we can practice on the screen itself ??🤔🤔🤔
@codewizard also don't try to remember to write everything at first, try the words, meanings and pinyin to type, hanzi strokes can be learned slowly. If you start with the strokes, that can be a lot more challenging. Start with identifying common words and how to type them.
@praveen how to get a suitable keyboard on Android phone ???
@codewizard see this screenshot, this is the best resource I found that helps learning the strokes.
@codewizard https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fcitx.fcitx5.android/ this is what I use and it is great!
@praveen @codewizard @SpaciousCoder78
Depends on your level. I don't know any resources for total beginners except Nicos Weg A1 series by DW.
Do you know the grammatical cases (nominative, accusative, dative etc.) in German? I think if you have a basic idea of these cases, you can follow some resources and improve from there.
We can speak in German with each other for practice😃
