AI, how much people hate it

Tech people are always in denial when people hate their tech for good reasons.
Here another data point about how much people actually hate it.

@karolherbst A colleague of mine brought it to the point for me at one point: "You didn't respect me enough to write it, why should I respect you enough to read it?"
That has stuck with me since then to the point I instinctively perceive AI generated content that tries to masquerade as anything serious as a sign of disrespect.

@karolherbst If you're letting AI write your blog posts then you're really demeaning yourself since it's not remotely you. It means you couldn't care enough to write something in your own voice and style that is unique to you. It's just a task to you.

@sri well... not sure I'd follow that argument 100%.
There are also ghostwriters, because some people just suck at writing and prefer if somebody else writes things for them.
And I think the issue with using an AI instead are elsewhere and more along the lines that it also impacts the writing style and how you present your claims and runs into the general issue of AI sycophancy.

@karolherbst Sure, if english is not your 1st language I can see it doing that but the beauty of language is that you can be precise - most LLMs generate text at below college level reading comprehension.
I know writing is hard. It takes me a long time to write something because I'm trying to make sure that I'm writing something that connects with people in a very specific voice. LLms can be good to get inspiration that I can modify. But I wouldn't use it wholesale.
