I lied, there is no Netflix
We'll watch torrented movies and i'll show you my collection of transit cards

Transport cards laid on the table:
- KorriGo (Brittany region, France)
- navigo easy (Ile-de-France region, France)
- pass pass (Hauts-de-France region, France)
- Warszawska Karta Miejska (Warsaw, Poland)
- Metrokarta (Katowice metropolitan area, Poland)
- Tarjeta Transporte Publico (Madrid, Spain)
- Litačka (Prague, Czechia)
- OV-Chipkaart (The Netherlands)
- navegante (Lisboa, Portugal)
- andante (Porto, Portugal)

@rail I don't know where it's from but the Metrokarta goes hard, does it also serve as a credit card?

@Nocta_Senestra locations are all in the alt-text ^^ Metrokarta is for Katowice metropolitan area

and it's made the way a regular credit card is made yeah but otherwise it's just a rechargable transit card

and my collection of paper tickets

(these are only the ones i got myself, i have a lot more gifted to me by other creatures x3)

paper tickets from:
- Le Mans (France)
- Brest (France)
- Rennes (France)
- Paris (France)
- Vienna (Austria)
- Budapest (Hungary)
- Prague (Czechia) – two different ones
- Brno (Czechia)
- Ostrava (Czechia)
- Karlsruhe (Germany)
- Warsaw (Poland) – two different ones
- Koleje Mazowieckie (regional train operator in Poland)

honestly navegante and andante could qualify to paper tickets (they're not proper cards) just like kreditni jizdenka from ostrava could qualify for transport cards (it's a rechargeable credit ticket)
but eh

@rail Hmm, what do you mean by "proper cards" when you're referring to the Andante and Navegante cards?

They both can be recharged, they're not single-use...

Source: have used both multiple times.

@nanianmichaels yes i literally have them, i literally used them when i was in portugal

what i mean is that they're printed on cardboard that isn't even that thick

"proper card" for me should be plastic

Brest and Rennes tickets in that image are also rechargeable but printed on flimsy low-quality cardboard that will be damaged with use relatively quickly

@rail how is your navigo pass so in good condition and not folded 😭

@zoee wdym not folded

it's plastic

how do you want to fold it

@rail huh. mine's cardboard-ish material and says "Ne pas pliez" on the back. maybe they changed the materials or have two different types that i didnt know of?

like my navigo easy pass has almost the same branding but the blue part doesn't extend fully to the edges.

maybe this is well known and my brains a bit fried rn?

@zoee mine is very much plastic, it can be bent only once xD

@rail @zoee powerfully

@rail huhh i guess i somehow got the uh flexible version that you can bend 😭

@zoee how long ago did you get it?

@rail like about a month back cause i couldn't find my other one (which i never paid attention to so idk what it was)

@rail hm, actually less than a month ago, more like 17-20ish days ago. anyways here's a picture of the slightly bent card:

Bad picture of a navigo easy pass but made out of cardboard and rather bent on a corner. The blue color does not extend to the edges.

One can see it does not lie flat on the surface I put it on to take a picture.

@zoee oh god

@rail yeah i genuinely have no idea what or how lmao

@zoee i guess since they switched to cards only a few months ago they realized plastic navigo cards are expensive and they can print shitty cardboard cards instead

neofox_shocked

@rail pass pass :D

@Pappouth good for her!

@rail@social.flufftech.net i have one you do not have >:3

@livtargz ooh? πŸ‘€

@rail the hamd feel of bibus cards is honestly fun from what i remember

@rail this would fix me...

@elsactivitypub it's entirely within the realms of possibility u know ^^

@rail No Belgian MoBIB one yet?

@queerthoughts no :o where can i get it?

@rail No Nantes tickets? (I still have those that my brother gave me for you)

@eragon i've been to Nantes but i didn't take any transport there yeah, that's a bit sad

but i intend to go there again so

@rail BKK ticket wlfAlert

The fact that it's from a 10 pack is extremely silly

@Gauss yes xD i specifically wanted a lot of paper tickets

@Gauss i have a bunch of them left unvalidated

@rail Not sure, there's 5 operators selling them (STIB, SNCB, De Lijn, TEC and Interparking) and 3 types (named (normal), anonymous (basic) and Interparking (named but basic). The STIB ones you can get from ticket offices or online. De Lijn and SNCB, I believe online. The others, no idea. But they probably only ship within Belgium.

I'll happily give you one of my spares though :3

@queerthoughts mmmmh i'll be for ~1h in Brussels soon, if it can be obtained from a machine like OV-Chipkaarts in the Netherlands, i'd get one ^^

@rail go add a swisspass to that for shits and giggles

@sbb i ordered one but it never arrived

@rail I don't think so, but there's STIB ticket offices in major metro stations that sell them.

@queerthoughts @rail I think I got one from a STIB machine in a premetro station last February

@Gaelan @queerthoughts i'll try and see but if i can't get it at a machine at bruxelles-midi, i'll just give up this time
