Once again I am stymied by Debian having ancient package versions

Installing custom repositories, the solution to many problems.

okay I could do the things I need to do to make Debian work here

or I could just switch the thing back to Ubuntu

I switched back to Ubuntu. Ain't got time for this.

@aurynn Debian most definitely has its place (I run it on my laptop and desktop) but if you just want things to work, Ubuntu is never a bad choice.

@cmccullough @aurynn the current Debian release is a year NEWER than the current Ubuntu release (with comparable support level)

I do love when a Packer build script Just Works and produces the output Vagrant box correctly.

It's a nice feeling.
