We recently celebrated a wedding anniversary and several guests have been sending photos they took, which I import into Zoph which is where I manage my photo collection. WhatsApp strips out all the meta information from the photos, and when exported they are all named something like 20240424-WA0003.jpg - as the third photo of that day of the person sending the photo. If more that one person sends me pictures from that day then the filenames clash. I import them by changing names to signify the sender, but this is an example of the one way ratchet nature of the closed system.
