Debian Maintainer | A Computer Nerd who also happens to be a Debian Packager.

I'm a hobbyist programmer. Outside of the computer world, I'm a STEM Major who likes inventing things.

I’m also a hobbyist graphic designer who mostly designs posters and media content for Debian India

Outside of geeky and nerdy stuff, I play a lot of video games, mostly single player ones.

Profile Picture is David Martinez from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime. Just a disclaimer, not really an anime fan.

@niyabits late to the stream again :P

@thej good doggo

When the senior students said college is gonna get incredibly hectic at the end, I didn't expect it'd be this bad.

I gotta deal with a research paper, thesis, presentation, projects, life chores, hobbies etc. all at once with almost no break.

I can only see it getting worse at this point.

@niyabits damn i guess im too late, missed the stream

These are some busy days indeed. I barely find any free time to work on anything. Totally busy with research work and academic stuff. This will likely be the case until mid 2027. Lots of work to do in a very limited amount of time.

Just uploaded a debian package to the archive -- python-pytooling

I turned on my Debian laptop almost a week after using only MacOS everyday and I was holding Super + Space on Debian to open spotlight search... oh wait.. I'm on Debian.

@werdahias I read the whole book when I was 10 and didn't understand a single thing.

Oops, I still have trouble reading things.....

@MikeDunnAuthor Honestly I live in India and I didn't even know this happened. I don't think it got a wide media coverage here either. Of course it won't when almost all of the media is owned by the rulers.

@jessie I'm learning German 16 years after not picking up on any new languages. It sure does feel intimidating at first. I'm not sure how successful it'd be but I just keep going at it.

We're proud to announce @fossunited as Bronze Sponsor for MiniDebConf Kanpur 2026.

FOSS United is a non-profit foundation that aims at promoting & strengthening the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) ecosystem in India.

MiniDebConf Kanpur poster. In the center, we have a box header saying "Bronze Sponsor". In the box, FOSSUnited logo can be seen.

Yet another experiment on myself but this time it's about learning German

I'm incredibly satisfied with the state of Proton and Linux gaming in general.

As expected, moving away from windows to mac + linux has done wonders so far.

Probably gonna write a blog post as soon as I recover from sickness.

@fbinin thanks

I definitely did a crap ton of college club work today and then came back to my room and worked on some ITPs and pushed a new update of python-vector to the Debian archive.

Safe to say, I'm a bit less stressed today than usual. I guess it really helps with that when you don't set deadlines for yourself.

I decided to completely ban caffeine and have strict limitations on refined sugar, to the point of almost never consuming it.

I went cold turkey on both of those last week and I cannot express how better I feel mentally and physically.

It's crazy how we have this poison so easily available. If I knew that caffeine is really this bad, I would've never had it in my life.

> be me
> Register for GATE exam
> Quit all social activities and gaming and spend the whole day in room prepping for it

> Write GATE without any preparation on Feb 8

Apparently, coffee and caffeine has an opposite effect on me now — making me more drowsy and less alert

Didn’t realise it until I went cold turkey on caffeine for 2 days which triggered a severe migraine today which I’m still suffering from.

@werdahias it looks like some kind of nut salad but I can’t say for sure what it is

@ravi is that a mouse pad
