I want use nextcloud even though I hate php because this is for family and nextcloud is very polished. By the way, this PC would only be a server for nextcloud, nothing else. So it's kind of a container heh. Should I just use Alpine Linux?

@herag Maybe they fixed it on the later releases. Im not sure heh.

Does anyone selfhost nextcloud for their friends and family? If so, what distro do you recommend? Im thinking of going with alpine linux cause that's what Im familiar with.

@herag I had this weird bug where the editor woudnt open on aerc. So i switched to neomutt. If aerc works, it's great!

@JustineSmithies protonmail's requirement of a bridge is scary. email is an open protocol! I use and can recommend migadu. The pricing makes sense and there is no vendor lock-in.

I really liked the ending where @laura notes that web2.0 was only called web2.0 long after everyone was using twitter/facebook/etc. However, web3.0 is in its infancy, only has a bunch of scams, and its proponents are already claiming its the next version of the internet to make everyone feel like it's inevitable.

You're not missing out by not using web 3.0.

@claudiom I have found the wifi on the pp is very finicky. I think pmOS is supposed to support iwd soon. I will have to try iwd out to see if it fixes any of my issues.

Sxmo 1.9.0 has been released and should be in the postmarketOS edge repos soon. We added support for better daemon supervision via superd, pipewire/bluetooth enhancements, and now support a new classes of devices (ie. tablets)! We have added support for calling on new devices ie. poco f1.

@dylanvanassche If I am using bluetooth headphones, can I use the mic on the headphones and hear call audio on the bluetooth headphones with this patch?

I finally beat the bell gargoyles on dark souls 1! I would always have a hard time when the second one came out. I even managed to cut the tail =P
