@pluralistic My bank has a policy that they will never, ever, under any cicrumstance, ask your credit card number. If I want to report it as missing/stolen or if I suspect fraud even then I don't need to give it other than even maybe confirm the last 4 digits of the card which they will read out to me first.

@pwaring This is a tough one, I think as you grow and your projects grow more complex with bigger clients, you do need more sales resources. But if you're still contracting as an individual or very small company, at some point it turns from sales to "you're consulting for free". So I think you're doing the right thing by limiting it, if they want more of your time, surely they can pay for it?
