@andrew_shadura static pages rendered by Flask. Perhaps some live Flask endpoints too, depending what I want to do with Fediverse integration / comments. Surprisingly, for most of the useful WP plugins I used, there's a Flask plugin. I've also been relatively good and wasn't too frivolous with WP plugins.

@relaxmilano There are literally people out there who can't understand at all that a website can exist without vue.js or react.

@dansup Welcome to the club!

Cleaning up my WordPress instance to prepare it for export. Over the last 20 years, I've accumulated 120 draft blog posts, many of them were even close to finished. Yikes!

Thinking of Aaron Swartz today & I’m stuck on this photo - he & OpenAI CEO Sam Altman (both circled) each scraped 1000s of docs but one did it to make the knowledge free for all while the other did it to make $$$$ through probabilistic plagiarism. The US DOJ only came after one of them & the other is feted by tech bros and executives.

Thank you Aaron for so much, for RSS, for Markdown, for Creative Commons and more. I’m sorry our society failed you.

TIL that on platforms now one can write terrible, offensive slurs against LGBTQIA+ folks and immigrants… with zero repercussions. But the second one mentions a project like , the post is automatically removed.

Meta “moderation” policies in 2025: racism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia and sexism are allowed; mention of competition is strictly forbidden.

@NikTheDusky Lol, I member.

@cobweb Same here! I remember older people first telling me that since I was 8 years old! And obviously they were wrong.

The BYD Seagull (or Dolphin Mini in South Africa) looks like such a fun little car! I think I'm getting one of those one day when my old petrol car is no longer economically viable to maintain:

All I can say is, thank fuck for the Fediverse ♥

@danie10 I tried plasma 6 for the first time on the Debian testing live builds last weekend... it's quite nice!

@mitch Most rational people ALREADY agreed to this, there's no if buts or maybes about it. Kill it like a weed. Everywhere and always.

@zleap @futurebird They're busy doing exactly that aren't they? As in, it's 240V coming into new houses and then they have transformers in the homes to scale it down to 120V for small appliances where dryers/ovens etc have special plugs and run directly off the 240V circuit

@dansup @loops There's nothing like having your own little place in the world where you can do whatever you want.

Anyone remember Q&A? This was really impressive software in the early 90s. I was 10 years old and had no real use for databases but made one with my contacts just so that I could play with the bot.

@GyrosGeier The human mind hasn't evolved to deal with all the craziness in the world right now.

@MrLovenstein Finally. A metric by which I'm not doing to terribly at.

@neil yikes I've never gotten one of those at least

Hmm @ Flatpak. Maybe it's less effort to just help with the Lutris backport in Debian instead.
