Random pic from my trip to Vietnam: some of the 83 stele-bearing turtles at the Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu) in Hanoi that record Imperial exam results. There used to be 116 of them. Closest one is shiny from being rubbed by students (and then visitors) for good luck. Not sure whether a specific species is being modeled but would love to know. #vietnam #hanoi #turtles
