Finally solved the #Degoogling debate. Anyone who finds fault with this list = Skill issue.

"Ja, aber die faulen Bürgergeldempfänger...!!!"
Hier noch einmal der freundliche Hinweis, dass in Deutschland pro Jahr rund 100 Milliarden Euro Steuern hinterzogen werden (Hans-Böckler-Stiftung).

I must say, that was the smoothest Debian version upgrade I've ever done. I updated my own personal workstation from Debian 12 to the new Debian 13 release several days ago; 13 came out in early August, but I've been so busy.
No major issues. I run a *lot* of weird shit on my machine. I usually am down for half a day when I upgrade.
I did have to re-build LXDE. Ended up just using the one from apt for now, but I normally run my own modified one built from source.
I love Debian. It's the best.

Week 35 progress on #kotlin 2 packaging for #debian: updating the intellij-community-idea source package.
There are many API and ABI breaking changes, so it looks like these packages will need to become name-versioned and coinstallable, as different versions of kotlin will certainly depend on different versions of them.
Currently attempting to build :platform:util fails with 1754 errors but just fixing the build script should bring that count down by a fair amount.

So there's a decades-old mechanism (and actual standard) how programs lock serial ports on unix-like systems in /var/lock. it's used in practice even in 2025 and #systemd >= 258 simply breaks it with "we don't care". I am not a systemd opponent, but that kind of behaviour [without a prior community-wide discussion or providing patches for known-affected projects and a grace period] is just alienating users and developers https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/38563 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1110980 #systemd #debian
Systemd programmers, making other people angry? Unpossible! /s
Also, I want to pour sand in the socks of whoever decided to use `Oz` for the standard measurement of copper thickness on PCBs.
What the /fuck/ is that even supposed to mean.
(I know what it means, it's just not intuitive)
lyricsposting (bella ciao)
Una mattina mi son svegliato,
o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao!
Una mattina mi son svegliato
e ho trovato l’invasor.
O partigiano portami via,
o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
o partigiano portami via
che mi sento di morir.
E se io muoio da partigiano,
o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao,
e se io muoio da partigiano
tu mi devi seppellir.
Seppellire lassù in montagna,
o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao,
seppellire lassù in montagna
sotto l’ombra di un bel fior.
E le genti che passeranno,
o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao,
e le genti che passeranno
mi diranno “che bel fior”.
Questo è il fiore del partigiano,
o bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao,
questo è il fiore del partigiano
morto per la libertà
“Where’s your autopilot?”
“You’re looking at it”
“All I see is a bunch of cogs and shafts. Where’s the computer?”
“That’s the computer”
“You have a *clockwork* jumpdrive. For the love of Eris, why?”
“The best human takes forty seconds to recover from jumpshock. There isn’t a digital computer that can tell a one from a zero in under a minute postjump. Belinda here will have us into the next wormhole before those customs cutters chasing us stop drooling.”
“You *named* this abomination”
“Hey, no cause to be mean to her! You can get out and walk anytime, friend.”
