@Ganneff Personally I watched it from the sidelines, and while I am politically very much against AI usage in the project, here it could be rebuffed with the copyright:
There's no way that LLM generated code can be copyrightable when there is no free LLM with its training data available
I read which model they used, and that certainly doesn't fulfill the DFSG. If we do not care about that then we might as well ship proprietary firmware in main.

@mirabilos @SpaciousCoder78 well IIRC that one is on hold in Debian wrt updates
@mirabilos @SpaciousCoder78 I should really propose a GR, but I neither have the time nor the energy right now.
@anarchiv so true. Yesterday I made soup and was like: "Eh, just add salt until it's tasty enough". Unless I never made the dish before I never follow the recipe
@mirabilos depressing, and my mail to -project to ban slop was not generating the echo I hoped
Watched a deep dive on Germanys debt brake and now my deep anger at the system got even more intense.
Fedi, please help: I am looking for a PDF/book detailing all 74-series logic ICs. Basically https://thecodingchicken.com/chips/1981_TI_The_TTL_Data_Book_For_Design_Engineers_2ed.pdf, but in newer. Bonus points if it's from Nexperia. I know this exists; basically one page for every 74-series IC detailing its function etc. I think it might be https://efficiencywins.nexperia.com/efficient-products/logic-product-features-and-application-insights-handbook.html ?

@sad_electronics like a cute wiggly spider
@anarchiv nice, get well
@anarchiv right on. I'm glad it finally snowed where I am at; -12°C too, at night. Will definitly need to go for a hike.
@SpaciousCoder78 hope you get better! It's important to not overwork oneself when contributing to #FreeSoftware
Anyone know of a tool to plan longer #train trips in europe with openstreetmap? There is https://interrailplanner.com/ and https://github.com/OSM-Interrail-Planner/osm_interrail_planner but I am looking for something where I can enter single legs and it gets plotted on the map; which I can then export.
Similar to DB's "Show on map" functionality, but with OSM.
#interrail #crossborderrail
