Had the most surreal experience today:
Walked back from the doctors office (wearing still my full face mask) and some guy chilling beside the street just escalated.
"Why are you still wearing a mask, you fucking idiot". Very threatening, even insinuated physical violence. What the fuck is wrong with people.

@rodgerd ZFS can't indeed shipped because of copyright issues (Kernel is GPL-2.0vs CDDL). But I agree that not giving any thought at all whether LLM output is copyrightable while otherwise claiming to care about copyright is very hypocritical. And there is no clear definition on whether the output is copyrightable, or not.

I enjoy writing. No machine can stop that. No machine can take away the joy in creating something that didn't exist before.
I won't cede that to robots; I couldn't if I tried.
