(It's slowing down now though; the screenshot is from several hours ago and now it's just at 110)

Screenshot of the file "convo-0.1.0-kaios2-omnisd.zip" listed with a download count of 101 Screenshot of Convo listed on the Banana Hackers Web Store

Shoutout to @jcbrand's which is actually doing all the protocol heavy-lifting. Also, thanks for having a "headless" version which is what made possible!

@badrihippo never thought of KaiOS as a portable hackable device in this sense? I wonder how good a deal it is

@disaster2life I mean is good if you want to also make and receive phone calls/SMS or create a 4G WiFi hotspot on said portable hackable device?

But if those are not important there'd be other options too (check and !) raspberrypi

For me, it was the one device I'd carry around (until I got on my , but my is still 💯 when I'm not in the city and apt to be blocked by QR-coded React-bloated ticketing systems or something)

@disaster2life but it was as much "phone" as "hackable device" 🙂

@badrihippo Oh I do remember you carrying it around!

As much as I wish to switch away from JS bloated stuff, I am too scared to switch away and rely too much on all of it.

I've had beepy on my radar, and I have always wanted one / have had plans to make a personal hackable PDA more inline with what I understand as the WiPhone (just learnt of it).

Currently planning on turning my old phone into a linux device, but my laziness knows no bouds :^/
