Still needing a Christmas tree 🎄? Well you're in Luck I've designed a (overpriced) PCB one that can be fully assembled using SMT processes, with reverse mounted LEDs, SMT headers, USB receptacles and reverse mountable SMT spacer... all from Würth so one of these has a BOM cost of 20€ 🙈

A 3D rendering of a Christmas tree made from a green PCB. White silkscreen is used as tinsel and reverse mountable LEDs lurk through the NPTHs these are the Christmas ornaments. The backside of the tree where you can see the traces connecting the LEDs to a header at the tree trunk. The tree stand which is also made from a PCB a USB-C receptacle is used to provide power, which is routes through a SMD Switch so the lights can be toggled. A SMD vertical socket is where the tree PCB can later be plugged into.

@sad_electronics Got a link to the Gerber files ?

To be fair it might be cheaper to buy from mouser or so directly. When using the internal purchasing tool at work all the parts will be re-reeled for assembly which increases the price of smaller quantities.
