I would like a mail filtering system that had better support for conditionally enabling or changing a large swatch of filtering settings at once, but not enough to change away from procmail or drastically rewrite my procmailrc.
(This is brought to you by my switching everything from regular filtering to vacation filtering, which involves both a large-scale enabling of one block and changing a whole bunch of other filtering bits.)

Sieve is always fun.
@cks Surely this problem can be solved by adding a layer of indirection.
@cks That said, I confess I decided decades ago not to bother with vacation messages. If you're contacting me directly, either you're doing it wrong (use the generic ask-a-sysadmin address, which others read too) or you're a direct co-worker and you've been told when I'm away or can check the shared calendar, or else you have no urgent claim on my time whether I'm at work or not.
@oclsc Oh, this isn't for vacation messages, which I also don't use for various reasons. This is to file away a bunch of work email that would otherwise go to my inbox, and to change some things to places where I'll ignore them more effectively.
(All of this is only necessary because I co-mingled my email usage long ago so I can't just ignore all of my at-work email all vacation.)
