Do you use an RSS reader? What type of media do you follow with it?

Multiple choice, but there is a "no" option because you have to pick at least one option to vote, a shortcoming of ActivityPub, it seems.

I just came across this link from @pluralistic, so I decided to see how many people are into it.

@ygor @pluralistic amazed “blogs” didn’t merit inclusion

@jmtd I wasn't sure of which media to single out, and I only get 2 options besides "other" and "no", so I just picked the first two that came to mind. I just recently realized I could listen to a podcast by pasting a URL into GNOME Rhythmbox, and it felt like pure magic, so I'm still figuring this out.

@ygor @pluralistic I'm trying to get back into RSS as a way to read my favourite websites, but the reader I got is... not doing the job. I need to find something better.

@OrionKidder @ygor Recommend Newsblur!

@jmtd @ygor @pluralistic

= "newsletter" ?

@pluralistic @ygor Thank you! I'm using Gnome's "Feeds" right now, and it's not presenting me with ways to *make* it work if it doesn't automatically work.

@ygor ok! I didn’t realise you were limited to 4 options (I’ve seen longer polls)

@Edelruth @ygor @pluralistic I chose other. I think blog vote may be split

@jmtd It's a mastodon server configuration. The default is 4. Some servers change it, but mine didn't.

@ygor @pluralistic Beyond blogs/newsletters - My library has an RSS feed for new book additions, YouTube channels all have an RSS feed (though YouTube don't advertise it), and OSM makes changesets for a given area available through RSS

I use vivaldi for the RSS reader.
