It's 1AM and i'm wiggly, ask me things

@lethalbit
where does one start to learn to design pcbs?

@walnut Ooooh good question!

It depends on a few things, like which CAD suite do you want to learn (I recommend KiCad because it's FOSS and I have a soft spot for it) and the second would be what kinda direction do you want to go? Analog, Digital, Mixed SIgnal? High Speed?

For just the basics, that's a good question! I don't know of any *really* good resources out there, I personally picked it up by just flailing around and asking my wife for help and a lot of googling.

@walnut It also depends on how much of a prior electronics background you have.

For super beginner stuff, I really have no idea, sorry ^^;

@lethalbit @walnut At one point during COVID I was bored and just taught myself the basic of KiCad. It helps a lot if you have an electronics background, but even without you can learn how do it. High-spped applications are more complicated; for starters I can recommend a simple analog design. Then just go from there :)
