german anti discrimination laws are weird when it comes to landlords
denying a potential tenant based on race or ethnicity is always illegal but discriminating against every other protected trait (gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, .....) is only illegal if the landlord is a professional who rents out more than 50 apartments

@lea i guess that maybe almost makes sense if you are renting out to someone in your own home(?)

having to share a flat with a woman might be awkward for a man who knows he doesn’t know how to conduct himself around them

same with an antitheist who can’t handle cohabitation with a religious person
