fdroidorg@floss.social I just tried to install @fdroidorg from your site and again from the downloaded apk. Both gave me the error that the install failed because the apk appeared invalid. This is on a sub-account on @GrapheneOS Any idea what might be causing this?

@znoteer You need the exact same version as the main profile. Website blue button serves an older version, for various reasons. If GOS does not have a way to clone/copy the app from the main profile, just grab the latest APK from https://f-droid.org/packages/org.fdroid.fdroid/ see 1.23.1 scroll down to Download APK.

@fdroidorg Thank you, that did the trick! Now, when trying to install @unexpectedkeyboard in the sub-account, I get the error

INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATILE: Existing package juloo.keyboard2 signatures do not match newer version; ignoring!

Can you help with this or is this a problem for the app developer?

Thanks

@fdroidorg PS, everything I've found when searching says to uninstall the previously installed app, but it isn't installed yet (not in this profile at least)

@znoteer Yes, you either uninstall and install from F-Droid in both, or install the same app from the same place you initially installed it in the main profile. The app is not build reproducible so it's signed by F-Droid.

@fdroidorg uninstalling and reinstalling in the main profile allowed me to install in the sub-account. Don't know why. Unexpected keyboard was already the most recent version in the main profile, but who cares, it's installed now 😁 Thanks so much!!
