I didn't have my machine (Refurbished Thinkpad T480) for 20 days, In this time I just read books (I will toot about them if I feel like it, they are so random), did many random things, I didn't engage in SNS that much, I won't say I didn't miss my machine because emacs is there lol and I wanted to try the ideas I was having in that time. But, It was a wonderful experience.
Off-topic but, I explicitly mentioned my machine model because I want you all to opt for Refurbished machines if you have the chance. 
~but hoarding aside I should consider actually taking some time away from stuff~

@gosha yeah, I wonder how much emacs-fu one would gain in that time :p
Also you have a job unlike me, So I have this luxury :p
@disaster2life you definately should, At first, You will be bored then you make something of that boring time :)
