Today's the day that The Shattering Peace, the new book in the Old Man's War universe, is out in North America (UK, you have two more days). I wrote it to be enjoyable to new readers as well as old hands to the series. I hope you'll pick it up at your favorite bookseller!
I'm also on tour in the US: https://us.macmillan.com/tours/john-scalzi-the-shattering-peace/
You can also get signed books from me, by ordering from the bookstores above, or from Subterranean Press, which also ships internationally: https://subterraneanpress.com/scalzi-tsp/?searchid=916414&search_query=The+Shattering+Peace

@scalzi Exciting! The OMW series has always been fun, and I can't wait to get back in there for another story.
It looks like Bookshop.org has the ebook DRM-free, which is awesome. Super glad to see that.
I also like how Subterranean's "Related Products" is just other books with "Shattered" or "Peace" in the titles
@scalzi I love John Harris's artwork.
Wait for the spanish edition or buy this english version? Oh, decisions to make...
@scalzi Thanks John! Bought it, can't wait to start it!
(Darn work is in the way ๐)

@scalzi Is there a good recap of the old parts. Itโs been a long time since I visited that universe ๐
That cover art is triggering all kinds of wonderful nostalgia for the 60s-70s space operas of my youth.
Can't wait to crack it open.
@scalzi I am renaming my AI personal assistant from Skippy to Asshole.
@scalzi Happily picked up a copy from ebooks.com, DRM-free.
@scalzi got to get it now!
@scalzi What pays you more? Print or ebook? Or does it not make a difference? I mostly read ebooks these days because they are convenient. BTW, I loved Redshirts.
@scalzi preordered on Kindle (I like reading sci-fi on my digital future book!) but Iโd like my kid to read your stuff, and he really prefers hard copy. So heck, you might sell me 2 copiesโฆ not to mention the preceding novels in the series. Iโm excited to read it. Thank you.
@scalzi
Huh. I don't know if I noticed in the earlier books, but my 25 years in Texas have me mentally pronouncing the surname Truheeyo. Might I ask whether that's what you were thinking, or would we have long since lost the Spanish pronunciation in an English-speaking colony in this future?
