Question for #electronics folks: When soldering, do you rip off a chunk or just pull the roll when handsoldering? I tend to do the former but sometimes I can't be bothered so pulling it is.
@werdahias The problem with chunks of wire is that you always end up burning your fingertips while trying not to waste the last millimeters ;)
@werdahias I stopped ripping off chunks, cause you can never use that last little bit.

@werdahias the cogging works out to be about the perfect resistance. it does not just spin off the spool.
