on Debian, I use software that lives in external repositories: R, Elastic, Grafana, PostgreSQL.. and used to manage adding them on machines with shell scripts - not anymore! Discovered extrepo(1p) https://salsa.debian.org/extrepo-team/extrepo and that makes this whole thing so much nicer. Thank you, @wouter
