By the way, a friend told me that "Ich mache eine Party" or "Ich feiere eine Party" would be better than what I wrote — "Ich habe eine Party." Good to add this as a note to myself.
The write-up includes the so-called separable verbs, such as "einladen", meaning "to invite".
To use it, we break it into two parts — "ein" and "laden".
Now put the prefix "ein" at the end of the sentence and use the form of "laden" to agree (verb conjugation) with the subject "ich". Follow it up by putting everything else you want to say in between, formulating the sentence:
Ich lade dich herzlich ein.
