I didn't need to do all this: download https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/libwine/download and extract it with 7-Zip, notepad.exe from there will work fine too!

I never claimed to be very smart, just persistent.

@voltagex in my experience working with computers, persistent is basically the same as smart
