How's your friday going?

@jmtd I can't tell if I'm tired after yesterday's packed but great day, I've caught a cold or it's only the start of hay fever! How about you?

@jmtd not great, Bob, errh Jonathan, not great…

@jmtd well, I just figured out a weird JVM crash by looking at the output of hotspot's assembly generator: I feel like I am One With the Matrix, right now :-)

@metacosm sorry to hear that :(

@mjr pretty similar! definitely got a cold but possibly compounding hay fever. getting stuff done though which feels good

@zhenech oh cripes. Mine is still there, albeit I can only access it about 50% of the time

@jmtd it was a mistake, some other boards should have been deleted, and the human in charge miss-clicked. there is of course no undo or so in jira…

@zhenech argh!

@zhenech @jmtd I’m sorry for your loss

@jmtd It’s going. Still under control.

@metacosm @jmtd I realize I made it sound a lot more impressive than it really was, tbh... 😅

But hey, I'm still pretty pleased with myself (I'm old enough to know it's not only okay, but that you should never waste an opportunity to so!)

@fred @metacosm no I’d celebrate it if it happened to me ;) my current status: repeatedly OOM and hard locking my workstation trying to run jdk8u tier1 tests

@jmtd @metacosm ugh... that sucks. I'm not sure I ever had to run 8u tests locally, now that I think of it.
Generally, never had issues with more recent releases, though.

(I realize I'm not really helping... sorry 😅 )

@fred @metacosm ha ha it’s okay. 8u hasn’t had the benefit of lots of the improvements to this stuff that have landed in later versions. It seems pretty hard to convince the test suite not to fork one Java instance for each core I have. The trouble is I have a lot of cores
