I need a 22000 uF 63V #capacitor for my #Yamaha #SR500 to replace the lead acid battery with. The price spread is more than 3x, and I have no idea what to look for.
Screw terminals are a given, but what brand/model do I want to deal with the strong vibration on the SR? Anything else to look for?
@werdahias yeah, I looked at Mouser and then decided to ask here. Information overload.
You mean to embedd it in silicone?
The SR has 500ccm and a single cylinder. It's 46 years old. It's pure vibration.
@RichiH That's a bit chunky; only one I could find on my normal sites is:
https://cpc.farnell.com/vishay/mal210119223e3/capacitor-100v-22000uf/dp/CA05336?st=capacitor
(Higher voltage spec is fine; as I would suspect a larger capacitance to some degree; what does it do?)

@penguin42 replace the lead acid battery as a load and buffer for the lights and ignition coil. It's a kickstarter so I don't need anything else.
@RichiH Yeh that's something I don't know anything about. I guess it's a very spikey thing being an engine so I guess they picked that 63v in hope it would survive those spikes.
@RichiH as audio engineer i wouldn't worry anout vibrations. temperature range could be more important in your case.
