doston, if I hypothetically started a science e-zine, do you think anyone will be reading? Or is the collective brain span so cooked that expecting people to read 3-4 pages is also unrealistic? Also, what would you like to see on it?

@Theorem_Poem I will read.
But TBH, I'm not sure who reads zines anymore. It is a niche community (IMO) who even understand what e-zine is (My 2 paise)

@mandarvaze totally fair. If zines were introduced to younger people, do you think they'd work at all?

@Theorem_Poem no I think there is certainly people who would read it, people do consume from what I understand essentially similar stuff, see those social media instagram eqsue posts with a lot of texts as essentially slides.

I'd love to read about anything really, I havent properly studied "the sciences" in 5 years now and I would love to be introduced to stuff!

@Theorem_Poem ~~though I am biased, I want to produce minizines of my own, i discovered inkscape has a template for those and i have been yearning to find time to do better on that~~

@disaster2life aye, the point is make something for people who like science but are not actively working with it. And not on insta/scrollable media

@disaster2life DO EEETTTTT

@Theorem_Poem oh yeah, I meant to just point out 'people' haven't given up on reading yet, there is thirst for well written information

@Theorem_Poem sooooooooooon!™ after I graduate I really hope I would be able to fix time for myself

@Theorem_Poem yeah i think e-zines are a sweet spot. you have more leevay in terms how much content you can include and how you present it. it is also not long enough for most people to read if the design and formatting is bearable.

i'd be especially interested in science e-zines honestly. how do you plan to make them available?

@kishy I'm thinking of an old school standalone site.

@Theorem_Poem so long as there are rss feeds, i'll eat it up
