Microsoft Exchange had its 30th birthday this month.

There is still no way to automatically cancel a meeting if every participant except the organiser declines.

@david_chisnall Exchange is 100% built by people who do not use it.

@tante

It's the only way of booking a meeting room in most Microsoft buildings, so I presume they do use it, I just can't figure out how. Perhaps they just don't ever send email or have meetings? Actually, being developed by a team that never communicates with anyone else on the team would probably explain a lot.

@david_chisnall Hah, that is a business decision, not a software limitation.

As an exec, NOBODY cancels my meetings but me.

@uastronomer

I, personally, would love to have 1:1s removed from my calendar when the other person can't show up. Or, at least, have them shown in the UI as 'needs rescheduling'.

@david_chisnall we also have to use it at work. It's so clunky and so many obvious features are broken or missing, it's crazy.

@david_chisnall If you think that's bad. I use one Outlook account for work about once a year. I had a page of read mails and literally couldn't figure out how to get to my unread mails. Even logging in was a nightmare full of dialogs that asked questions that made no sense. It's just slop all the way through.
