So I'm looking into flight booking to - and the flight there has a stop in London, the flight back in Dallas. As I understand it the US doesn't do transit areas, so I am technically entering America, have to be allowed to enter, and then leave again.

How likely is it that I get into troubles, given that my passport says female, and I'm visibly trans? Would I be able to take that plane home?

Potentially London might give me headaches too, but then again, they have a transit area.

@rhonda any stop/transit/layover in the usa is a risk, i as a boring old white cis male would not risk. $girlfriend flew to NZ a Month ago and payed extra to not have a transfer in the usa.
Given their hunt for people voicing dissent with their politics and their distaste for everything not hetero normative i would strongly advise against any entry/transit through the usa.

@rhonda if you need to fly in/via the USA, do that via Dublin. as you do the immigration there, not in the US, and arrive as if you took a domestic flight.

@rhonda yeah I would try to avoid that if possible tbh, it's fully fascist over there now.

@rhonda Unlikely, but not unlikely enough to recommend attempting it if you have any other option.

It's less likely than earlier in this administration, as foreign travel to the US is dramatically lower on account of harassment of foreign tourists.

The regime stands to lose more than they gain from giving you problems because you represent money being lost.

But you never know with reality TV fascists and their sycophants...
