Is there a nicer word for 'dogfooding'?

Wikipedia mentions "drinking our own champagne", but that does not have a nice ring to it.

@cccpresser Not aware of any but I think the term is great for reasons beyond the obvious (I've been meaning to write about that but haven't really found a way to express it properly).

Why do you dislike it?

But what about tools you run on the commandline. There the term does not sound right - at least for me.

@cccpresser Isn't it called dogfooding after a real event with the owner of a dogfood company saying that he testes the product himself or something?
