It's so wet the frogs are moving into the barn (I, for one, welcome my new amphibian overlords)

Also it's really hard to take a picture of a frog. I am pretty sure this is a wood frog, which means it was frozen while hibernating a few months ago. Evolution is so cool!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood_frog#Cold_tolerance

A small brownish frog with lighter brown stripes down its sides, like racing stripes. It's hunkered down in some grass, hoping I don't notice it.

@sundogplanets Potential snacks for goats?

Another sign of how wet it is: Every morning there are tiny thin mushrooms (I think inky caps?) growing out of all the old straw and hay left behind by the goats over the winter. Yay compost!

A flattened pile of old hay in the middle of a grassy area surrounded by a tall wooden fence. There are tiny, tall, thin mushroom stalks growing out of the straw, mostly around the edges, making a circle of mushrooms.

@sundogplanets Looks like a crop circle 😁

@sundogplanets our frogs offer a nightly chorus from the slough but spotted one last night while walking the dogs.

Small brown frog with stripes on rear legs, hunched in grass.
