I have so many thoughts about being a man in this day and age and I think it's hard but one thing I'm experiencing with my old friends is that it's becoming more normal calling each other "brother" and saying "I love you" and honestly that means the world to me
And let me say it loud and clear, I'm not going to wait for World Men's Day or whatever the fuck it's called - dear men:
You are important. We need you. The new world we're trying to build desperately needs you. Your masculine qualities. Your strength. Your anger. Your passion.
You are not a problem. You are not a liability. You are not a second-rate human. If anyone tries to tell you that your masculinity makes you less valuable, destroy them. They are the enemy. You are beautiful. We are one.
Be here now, love your sisters and your brothers, fight the system, and your instincts will help set us free.
Also, just in case it needs to be said explicitly - trans men, welcome to our flock, I love you.
I have tears in my eyes writing this.
Masculinity isn't toxic. You don't have to be submissive to be a valuable man. We need you. Each and every one of you. Please come home. Be loving. Be kind. Be strong. Reach out if you're struggling.
Nature has put you here for a reason. Destroy those who will harm your sisters. Do not suffer those who seek to destroy your brothers. You are loved. You are needed.

@werdahias I don't even believe in the idea of a patriarchy anymore, at least not here in Scandinavia, because gender dynamics and their relationship to power are extremely multidimensional and it just isn't a helpful descriptor anymore.
