So I had the chance to ask, and thanks to Kliment and @sad_electronics this is now my WIP.
Still needs some work, but I'd say the circuit is mostly there. Layout will be an entirely other issue, and programming of the microcontroller ofc. Nevertheless, it's coming together. At KiCon an excellent talk was held by Artemis to document things, which I took to heart.
