I would appreciate some pointers for installing #NetBSD on my #Rock64 arm SBC. I tried various combinations of concatenated images, and nothing seems to boot, let alone show video output for the HDMI port. And yes, I read the wiki. #boosts welcome.

@netbsd yes, I did. But that gets me video output, and doesn't seem to show any activity. Is eMMC boot supported?

@werdahias maybe it's outputting to the breakfast^W serial console? you can use the creds_msdos system to make the board automatically start a ssh server for login on first boot.

@werdahias not this exact board but here are my notes for the RockPro64. Maybe you can find tricks or ideas there.

@joel thanks, I figured it out in the meantime.

@werdahias I've mucked with ARM a fair bit, and RISC-V (similar situation), under OpenBSD. It's tricky, and the OpenBSD docs at least are far from adequate. I suggest posting everything you did, in detail... screenshots, etc. Again, I'm not exactly familiar with those, but if there isn't a video driver, you may only have serial console. And if there's a problem, serial console is where you'd see it. I personally never would have managed to bootstrap OpenBSD on ARM/RISC-V without that.
