My ISP is just moving their customers from having public IP addresses to being behind cgnat with no prior communication. At least IPv6 works in South Africa now... if you manually configure it, but this is quite terrible if it becomes the norm now, and makes it increasingly important for everyone to use and support IPv6, we need to spread more awareness in ZA about this.
@highvoltage which ISPs have you found to support at-home v6? I've only found two and their prices are terrible
@highvoltage Interesting to see an eyeball network still doing public IPv4/no CGNAT uptil now.
Can you share ASN?
@froztbyte Some have direct ipv6 on gpon, others provide their own 6to4 tunnel but it's not well advertised. I'm on Rocketnet, they do an l2tp tunnel for ipv6 users who are on active ethernet (like me on Vumatel). I used the HE 6to4 tunnel in the past, but I think half of ZA ipv6 users used it at one point and it seemed to be somewhat congested/unreliable compared to the ISP connection (ISP ipv6 routes seem to be better than their ipv4 routes)
