Debian Maintainer | A Computer Nerd who also happens to be a Debian Packager.

I'm a hobbyist programmer. Outside of the computer world, I'm a STEM Major who likes inventing things.

I’m also a hobbyist graphic designer who mostly designs posters and media content for Debian India

Outside of geeky and nerdy stuff, I play a lot of video games, mostly single player ones.

Profile Picture is David Martinez from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime. Just a disclaimer, not really an anime fan.

@bittin @ubuntu @gnome you're attending in person?

It's time I took a break from Debian and free software stuff to focus on my career and exams. This means that for the next 3-4 months, my packages won't be updated and also a windows reinstall nuked my debian so I'll only get time to work on setting it up again from scratch in march.

Decided to dedicate some part of my free time to FreeBSD along with Debian. I found FreeBSD to be a pretty interesting project, gonna develop some ports for it from now on.

A weekend project: Installed GhostBSD, a distro of FreeBSD

Mmmmm…. FreeBSD sounds interesting

@bittin @redhat @ubuntu I got a bit sick with a cold too. Get well soon.

I absolutely hate college fests when I’m the organiser. There’s nothing you gain from organising a fest but you lose all of your time and classes making some useless reports that’s of no use.

@bittin @redhat still sick? Like are you fatigued or do you still have other infectious symptoms? Get well soon btw

@badrihippo I hate cloudflare. Almost every website uses it now and it blocks Tor users from accessing the site

Finally found enough time to make some Verilog projects and this time I used free software available in Debian package repositories like Icarus Verilog and GTKWave to compile and simulate the code.

84 wpm typing speed with 98% accuracy ✊

I only learned Divide and Conquer algorithm in class but I'm getting to use it in real life now by juggling between masters admission test, college stuff and debian work by dividing tasks into smaller sub problems and making problems look a lot easier than they are.

Third year of college is no joke honestly. It's just way too hectic.

“ Windows 10 support ends in October 2025. Your computer may not run Windows 11, but it will run Debian for many more years without buying new hardware. Debian supports the End of 10 campaign.”

I got rid of Windows (nuked it) in favour of debian as windows was slowing down my perfectly fine machine. You should too, if windows troubles your perfectly fine hardware.

@keouck @sounddrill @disaster2life @lunarequest I’m sure people would like Pixelfed better due to its similarity to Instagram. The trick is getting people to leave that addictive platform first

@werdahias interesting. I should get that book one of these days. Sadly I think I should focus more on verilog for my job than C. C is fun to write however

@werdahias I have the c++ book by bjarne and I haven’t even read some of it yet. I gotta buy Ritchie’s C book too. C is honestly pretty fun to write.

Today was a big day in Debian. I took up a severe RC bug for python-papermill and somehow managed to fix it with the help of other DDs. It was a fun experience working together with everyone.

@disaster2life @sounddrill @keouck @lunarequest glad I’m not the only one with very low levels of Indian-ness

@praveen @fossunited @prav It's time we had a conference based purely on free software principles. Open-Source has become the new buzz word for companies these days to get work done for free by contributors.

I finally recovered from all of the post flu symptoms and I'm back to Debian work. Dark Souls is probably easier than setting up GBP though.
