Debian Maintainer | A Computer Nerd who also happens to be a Debian Packager.

I'm a hobbyist programmer. Outside of the computer world, I'm a STEM Major who likes inventing things.

I’m also a hobbyist graphic designer who mostly designs posters and media content for Debian India

Outside of geeky and nerdy stuff, I play a lot of video games, mostly single player ones.

Profile Picture is Flora Fountain from South Bombay, India.

@contrapunctus Makes sense and I never expected organisations to give that much money to contributors lol. I haven't heard about the concept of bursaries and grants until very recently

@contrapunctus @contrapunctus travel grant as in bursary? Where did you apply for it?

@khubsuratinsaan I was prepping for GATE a few months ago and realised how much it was stressing me out and how if I put the same effort into something else I'd do pretty well in life. I dislike how "All roads lead to IIT" too

@khubsuratinsaan At this point I think we need to rename the quote to "All roads lead to IIT" exclusively for Indians

@bittin @opensuse cold? again?

@praveen @vaidik_ @prav

Just filed an issue about the link issue and it seems like the battery issue was already addressed in the FAQ

Issue 1 [Link Tap Bug]: https://github.com/monal-im/Monal/issues/1501

Battery Bug: https://github.com/monal-im/Monal/wiki/Battery-consumption

@praveen @vaidik_ @prav Oddly, I cannot find the bug reports for both of those issues like the team mentioned. I'm reinstalling monal to reproduce the bugs and will report it once thats done. I'll also ping you here again with the links,

Just received the confirmation of my talk at MiniDebConf Navi Mumbai 2025. Already in the process of making the presentation material, should be done in a few days if exams don't bother me too much

@praveen @vaidik_ @prav not sure about the battery issue but when I discussed about the "link opening" issue with the monal team they told me that it's an already known issue so I didn't file a bug for it. I'm gonna try and find some open issues for it and let you know soon.

@billchenchina Makes sense. I don't like being at home during vacations either because it gets really boring. I much prefer going out and doing something during that time.

@billchenchina already? I thought there’s still time for Christmas

@praveen @prav @vaidik_ just a heads up. I used Monal on ios for a while and it has some issues that need to be fixed. Firstly it drains a lot of battery overnight as it attempts to reconnect to MUCs all the time even when it’s closed and there’s a serious bug that opens links even if you mis-tap somewhere on the body of a message. These are the reasons why I use Siskin now. I hope the Prav team can fix these issues.

Spent the past 2 days planning my trip to Mumbai and I can't wait to go there! Already booked my plane tickets.

@bittin @fedora @felipeborges @jspaleta @jspaleta @bagder @lemonzest @adamw nice, i havent been contributing translations lately as it does get boring overtime if you're the only one doing it. I'm speaking at MiniDebConf Navi Mumbai next month about translations and im gonna see if I can get more translators on board.

@werdahias @signalapp People actually use it? Tried getting people off Whatsapp to move to Signal but everyone ditched Signal in a week.

@till Good going, Till. Best of luck to next year's contributors.

Currently helping with the organisation of MiniDebConf Navi Mumbai. This would be the first time that I actually organise something outside of college events.

And I’m also applying for a speaker this time!

The call for proposals and RSVP for MiniDebConf Navi Mumbai (with @fossunited Mumbai) are open now at https://katb.in/ituzuquzayu.

See you on 13th and 14th December.

Just handled the update of python-awkward to the latest version. Will probably update my other packages once I find some more leisure time

Back to Debian packaging for the time being due to boredom in limited capacity. I'll be only handling package updates of exisiting packages and won't work on new ones until March
