@niyabits same, was just dealing with a really outdated package that I forgot had an outdated source, i just updated the package and the entire codebase changed in just 3 years. None of the patches work now. Python is easy to work with but the dependencies are a nightmare due to constant changes in the code.

is going to Kanpur after Navi Mumbai!

@khubsuratinsaan I think we should also do the same for people who get ideas like this.

Oh....

I usually never watch Bollywood movies but I somehow ended up watching Dhurandhar and ended up loving it. I don't remember Bollywood movies being this good since 2013. Dhurandhar was pretty entertaining, never felt bored at all despite being 3hr 30 minutes. But yeah, didn't understand a lot of dialogues as the Hindi felt too advanced for me to understand.

Read that the word “clanker” from Star Wars is now being used as a slur for AI so let’s call AI slop as “clankerware” from now on. What do you say?

@praveen @billchenchina can relate with the sleepiness part. I for some reason have a bad reaction to carbs but with our country being carb heavy it’s hard to ditch the rice out of the diet. My hostel only serves pure white rice. As a test I’m gonna try skipping breakfast for a few days. Breakfast in the hostel is soaked in oil anyway

@billchenchina @libreinator it’s not just McDonald’s no fast food chain serves beef

@libreinator @billchenchina I think fast food chains have a national menu right? Maybe that’s the reason why they don’t serve beef ?

@libreinator @billchenchina beef in a restaurant is something I’ve rarely seen in my life. I remember seeing some steak at a 5 star hotel that I stayed in Bengaluru like 8 years ago. Considering the political situation I wouldn’t be surprised if they stopped serving beef too. Maybe one day if you do head outside the country you might get what you need

@praveen @billchenchina how did you feel on keto? I tried going aggressively low on calories once but I just ended up being dizzy. Calorie deficit just feels useless in my case as there’s no change in weight even if I keep my deficit.

Went to a movie today but forgot to map the surrounding areas on OSM :(

@billchenchina burgers and fast food are unhealthy though. I usually limit my consumption of those for this reason. Once in a while is fine for me. The recent burger I had was from a KFC in a train on the way to Mumbai.

@praveen @billchenchina Curious, how do you stay energised with just 2 meals? Do you go for a low carb diet?

@niyabits welcome to the thinkpad gang. oh actually im gonna join the Mac family soon lmao. Maybe in May

@billchenchina I haven't eaten McDonalds in like 8 years..... KFC is the only fast food chain that I eat at but that too in like once in 4-5 months. I average 1 burger every 3 years and 4-5 pizzas in a year.

Second shot at learning Deutsch.

Dropped midway through German classes in sophomore year due to academic stress. Picking it up again to keep my brain engaged and have fun.

I realised I have a natural talent for pattern recognition when I had that Automata Theory Course so I'm gonna experiment it with Deutsch if I can use those skills to the fullest.

@niyabits thanks I’m more worried about postgrad though. It’s one giant glass ball of uncertainty as to where I’ll end up in a year.

New semester has started and it’s already pretty boring. Getting close to graduation so more of those sleepless nights from now on
