Jabber was the original name, but it got sold to Cisco for reasons.
The protocol got standardized through the IETF and so got an IETF acronym, and because Cisco owned the jabber trademark everyone was worried about calling it jabber.
Cisco hasn't done a lot with the product, so, uh, we should totally photoshop the name Jabber back onto the network.

Apparently the DTC has stopped serving a small but significant part of the city, with buses now rerouted through tighter turns ... AND NO DAMN INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ANYWHERE? If only they had GTFS RT to convey this, if only they had a GTFS feed they kept updated, if only they had social media, if only they had a website, if only they were able to publicise it on bus stops they owned, huh, they could have and didnt? Woah! They dont give a shit? Surprising.
