@khubsuratinsaan lol hope you dont end up in a fire situation!

When you email issues to Obsidian Entertainment (the video game company) their AI support hallucinates and tells you to email Obsidian (the note-taking company) instead.

The perils of trusting an LLM with your customer support.

Thanks so much for reaching out and for the kind words about the game, we're thrilled you're loving Outer Worlds 2! It's great to hear you're even trying to contribute feedback on the issue tracker.
You've run right into a common security feature where disabling 2FA also requires a current code to prove you're the account owner making the change.
Since your issue is with the Obsidian account system (for the issue tracker) and involves account security, this is something our specialized account security team needs to handle directly. They're the only ones who can verify your ownership and safely disable the authenticator app link without a current code.

Please email their dedicated support channel directly right now at support@obsidian.md.

- In your email, explain exactly what you told me: you lost access to your authenticator app, you used a backup code to log in, but you can't disable 2FA because it still asks for an authenticator code.
- Mention that you can provide any proof of account ownership they need.

The support team at that address is equipped to work through the necessary identity verification steps to get that 2FA disabled for you.

@rohini oh yeah fuck, gross

@rohini lol corporate speak, "good provider for the team" comes to mind

@badrihippo oh yikes, why the app in the first place? I remember a forum when I visited for a bit, that seems sucky

TIL, the Massachusetts bay transit authority publishes their #GTFS feed _without_ protobuf and just plain JSON, ohmygod I love Boston.

Also proper GTFS documentation and API call limits, and OPEN ACCESS DATA? how do I personally thank all the MBTA people and give them all a personal thanks?

@kishy yup, decided to answer a few people on one app, instantly regret it, ugh, I hate dealing with my problems

@crmsnbleyd sucks to suck

i have like 18 people texting me, i dont want to talk to anyone, considering taking a hike without my phone

@rohini @contrapunctus why loiter mentioned! ~I need to get around to reading that at some point-~

@keouck @kishy i never enjoyed them, but would also explain why i dont agree with anyone that good diwalis existed. theyve been shit for me basically always i think

@crmsnbleyd no chance, ive been backstabbed and sold out :(

@badrihippo oh lol amazing, good for my ereader! i love pandoc!

@badrihippo ah, i picked it up about a year ago from someone's blog,

didnt ever try calibre, didnt know it could do that,

and I use Epubs for my ereader, can you convert MD to epubs?

@crmsnbleyd it went great! i loved every second of it! have to travel to another city for a birthday _party_, I hate my life

@kishy @keouck i love the national pass time of talking about how _this_ diwali doesnt have the spirit of some mythologised diwali that did

@keouck i hate how even in my break, i havent got a break because of diwali, fml

@foss_events this is a thing? I did not hear about it? ;—; wish I could be at a event filled with open data transport nerds

@badrihippo i still write out my class notes in markdown for that ease and share them as pdfs, very useful ~well not the notes, those are useful~

@crmsnbleyd seemingly so, go to another one today, this one with people I actually enjoy
