re: Grumbling about Nedbank
@confluency @Zumbador This happened every time I went to FNB. So I was on hold for an hour just glaring at the staff member. Then they moved the phones away to a cubicle like area so you can't glare at staff anymore for not being able to help you. So I just closed my FNB accounts and moved on.
@mntmn I wish I had the capital to help people for things like this!
@Lapizistik Activists should take a leaf out of Steve Biko's page. Go en mass to police stations and demand to be arrested, effectively DoS'ing the police system.
Israel continues their war crimes in Gaza while the world can't be bothered.

It's amazing how your body adjusts to medication. My doctor put me on new blood pressure medication, which works great! And now my brain is like, "Ok! You can now get a lot angrier without popping a vein in your head, let's do this!"
I've now grown strawberries, pomegranate and now my first granadillas are emerging. I'm kind of impressed that it even survives because I never water it and there's a cactus next to it that is literally dying due to lack of water.

@mbanck @credativde Wow that is amazing, this rarely happens! Congratulations, I'm sure there's an interesting story there, hope we get to hear it one day!
@kuulman Both are! And it's humerous because in the old days, The Chromium-BSU game used to be installed via the chromium package. So lots of people who wanted to install the browser ended up with the game. So the game got renamed to chromium-bsu and chromium browser to chromium... but now we have a similar situation with epiphany and epiphany browser, and the game is probably installed more by accident than on purpose (no offense to the game!)
@jz Well, goodbye Firefox it's been a good run.
I'm so old and every now and again I'm still shocked at how yet another song from my childhood was just another cover version.
Did you know that Just another Manic Monday was originally a Prince song and then covered by the Bangles?

"Mark Zuckerberg: Everything You Didn't Know About His Sh*tty Past"
Wow, not even 90 seconds in and they used a bunch of descriptions for Zuck that I've never even used. That takes some skill.

@danirabbit although, exact same is true about proprietary software, so it's not a unique attribute of open source software but of software in general?
@juliank CVEs would definitely be worse!
@withaveeay that condensed milk flavour one is like crack cocaine for me. If I buy it, I'll finish the whole box.
@xjuan Thanks! The packaging has a few issues, I'll make a new upload to fix that within the next few days! But yeah great piece of software, very happy to have it in Debian!
@dzu I haven't tried bb under wayland yet, and just switched over to Wayland full time myself a few weeks ago, but I'll check it out. aa upstream has indicated that he's interested in getting aquanted with that very old codebase so I'm hoping that we can get some of the long-standing bugs fixed... without introducing too many worse ones :)
