Digital Ocean killed its "we give Open Source projects a bit of free hosting" policy basically at the same time they dropped 3 million USD on Omarchy, DHH's (who is a fascist and racist) set of config files he calls a distribution.

DHH is working towards accumulating open source funding to be able to direct it towards projects that align with his technical and ideological views.
It's hard to overstate how dangerous that is for all of us.

I logged in to LinkedIn to see a page full of people praising DHH, got mad, and wrote this. Less than 12 hours later I got an email telling me "Your post doesn’t comply with our Professional Community Policies on bullying and harassment. It’s been removed from LinkedIn and only you can access it."
Big tech is more and more mask-off every day.
What surprises me the most recently, though, is how much I suddenly care about pronouns (I didn't see that one coming).
