@riddsteve that’s a good shout! Short too. I think I started with Mars names from Kim Stanley Robinson novels. Thanks
@riddsteve I’ve jealous of the Amiga 600, I think I know who donated and I tried unsuccessfully to get it off them many years ago :) also, we have a newly donated commodore CBM that might go in that display…
@riddsteve sort-of. I’ve used it before, I think for a VM. But it’s not currently in use. (I’ve also previously used tharsis)
@neil well yeah use it if it’s spare! If Firefox is too slow I’d try a recent netsurf and see if that’s useable (Debian archive one is quite old)
Also konqueror *might* perform better on slow machines… at least it did 20 years ago!

@debian I did briefly use Deimos but I’ve forgotten what for. Maybe a VM. It’s spare at the moment though…
@neil thinkpad yoga 260, £200 Refurb.
I’ve just remembered I have a huge format Mars book under the living room sofa. I will browse for names tonight
@mart_brooks I had a MacBook Air once that felt fatter than the previous generation so I called it tharsis
@znoteer I like Luna!
I need a new laptop hostname! Sibling machines are: qusp, coil, chew, phobos. Suggestions appreciated!
I've got plans for a future full day of yak-shaving, probably exploring the neovim plugin universe and lua scripting, with a GTD theme. Currently gathering stuff to look at. E.g. mini.nvim https://github.com/echasnovski/mini.nvim/releases/tag/v0.7.0
@InterzoneMag really pleased to receive the new issue today! And glad you’re on the Fediverse too!
I’m liking the new paperback sized/format Interzone! #fiction

@guddl I asked, but I got the feeling they’re asked a lot and run them regularly. But they don’t advertise so maybe if it was too popular/distracting they’d stop
@andy_warb no connection, but I mailed to arrange it. The impression I get is they do a lot of tours but don’t advertise about it, if it became a problem they’d stop.
