6music playing “the last broadcast” in its entirety. I hope I get another chance to see Doves live again! https://dizl.de/@JBsWhatsOn6/111416035889780604

Thanks @juliank for resolving my 15-year-old Debian bug! https://bugs.debian.org/481542

In particular this grumble brought to you by hours trying to debug gpg-agent indefinite hangs

For years of my professional IT life, I cursed at SELinux. I can finally relive those days again in Debian today, with AppArmor, seemingly enabled by default on minimal installs!

@wouter @mcc my mnemonic for this (and forgive me for teaching grandma to suck eggs) is to ponder: which of the arguments is essential and which is optional/could be derived? I still have to think that *every time*, it's not internalised yet.

@directhex I can't recall having a cell phone that used this but ....I must have it for some reason so I guess my memory is fallible

@bobmcwhirter hah. well, you're right, and probably pushing me towards asking the better question. I don't think I've ever owned a palm pilot. I'm racking my brains to think of what tech I might have had, which it was for (and assuming I don't anymore)

anyone have a clue what this connector is for? the other end is a 9 pin serial

On-ear headphones appear to be going extinct. Has anyone a personal recommendation for a currently-available model? I tempted fate, predicted the death of my Bose on-ear (EOL 2021) and they promptly followed through.

@staringatclouds @bbcmicrobot @toriver sadly mine is also back in the loft but a few years ago I started checking it over and refurbishing it https://jmtd.net/amiga/

@staringatclouds @bbcmicrobot @toriver 500 (rev 6a with an ECS fat Angus)

@toriver @bbcmicrobot Amiga in my case

re: Thank you for the feedback - I am always happy ab amout such constructive criticism! I'll think about whether and which information I can leave out: Showname? Hashtags? The links to Spotify or Bandcamp? The toots at the start of a new show? Maybe I'll do a poll to see if there's a consensus among users. Or...
@ohrenweide I did wonder whether Content Warnings would help. I guess you could experiment :-) Anyway thank you

@ohrenweide small bit of 6MusicBot feedback: the toots are pretty long! I'd prefer a more concise toot. They often dominate my feed atm. Thanks for your hard work

@falken @pwaring @beasts yes I’ve been tempted to use LVM/dm_crypt but I’d need to be sure mail would queue in the event the LV was unmounted(eg after a reboot). I’ve never had the time. I don’t use AWS
