@highvoltage well, there is gurk-rs, but packaging the signa rust libraries is a huge pain. I should look info partial vendoring maybe

@werdahias @jon @pettter Not sure about all-in-one solutions, but Interrail's Rail Planner app has good support for timetables and creating a journey leg-by-leg, displaying them on a map. Not sure how to export though.

Once the route is known, tools like https://signal.eu.org/osm/ or https://brouter.de help plotting a geographically exact route from A to B, and to export that to GeoJSON and such.

@cycling_on_rails @jon @pettter thanks a lot, signal.eu.org/osm seems like what I want.

@anarchiv nice, get well

Wer Merz entführt, muss ihn behalten.

@anarchiv right on. I'm glad it finally snowed where I am at; -12°C too, at night. Will definitly need to go for a hike.

@pettter @jon @cycling_on_rails Was gonna CC jon :) Thanks

@SpaciousCoder78 hope you get better! It's important to not overwork oneself when contributing to #FreeSoftware

Anyone know of a tool to plan longer #train trips in europe with openstreetmap? There is https://interrailplanner.com/ and https://github.com/OSM-Interrail-Planner/osm_interrail_planner but I am looking for something where I can enter single legs and it gets plotted on the map; which I can then export.
Similar to DB's "Show on map" functionality, but with OSM.

@NanoRaptor wow, what a great and bittersweet story. Such an unexpected turn.

Average athletic person: "Oh, I use nano every once in a while"

Muscled cross-fitter: "I do emacs"

Mustachioed weight lifter: "I vim competitively."

Humongous ripped body-builder: "I use ed(1)."

Well, it's all come down to this. I'm calling the project "finished." I just typed "Q". Goodbye Ed and thanks for all of the memories! 2618 lines of Rust. One implementation of Lox.

Hmm, I got a nice analogue counter (with a coil inside) from a salvage. But no idea what to build with it.

this is real

Someone: *drops off a server motherboard asking to install coreboot*
Me: Hm, I don’t see that variant in the tree. It doesn’t have BMC and has different RPs so it could blow up

#coreboot "ports" done during #39c3: 2 (and counting) ablobcatbongo
Picture of the table with a lot of hardware. Laptop in front of me has vim open with GPIO configuration and dumps from PCH at runtime, said server motherboard is present in the background
