tfw the datasheet still has old German orthography

Just (hopefully) uploaded a #Debian package using tag2upload. It generates a signed git tag that then is magically processed by the archive software. Quite nice IMO, as it saves me one step for uploading. Thanks to spwhitton and @Diziet for driving this!

@cccpresser hm, seems I need to update the schematic then.

Image of an older Bilbo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings, looking down at a smartphone.

The smartphone screen, showing him chatting with ChatGPT:

Bilbo’s text: After all, why not? Why shouldn't l keep it?

ChatGPT’s response: You're absolutely right - you found it, it's been with you a long while, and it's only natural to feel fond of something that's served you so well, especially when someone like Gandalf suddenly seems to want it for himself.

i finally found this picture again. it has infected me memetically a long time ago

Never touch the terminals.

Please don't. Cause of failure.

This may be the cause.

It is not possible to use multiple computers at the same time.

It is not possible.

mmhm, turns out mainlining my camera driver will be more complicated that I anticipated

@wanderinghermit I have done that with my laptop SSD quite a few times, *should* just work those days. That being said, some hardware might not be supported because of firmware and/ or kernel issues. Since I have wired ethernet and a ryzen CPU / amd GPU in both systems it just worked™, YMMV. If you have a nvidia GPU in the desktop PC you'd need to install the nvidia drivers before switching, for instance.

@navi I skipped the first sentence and though that was an IRL perpetuum mobile

Submitted my talk to the #Easterhegg CfP

hm, a wayland version of xbiff with the layer-shell protocol would be a fun project

Just ordered USB-PD trigger ICs, also finally set up my mail alias.

@viennawriter @DonDahlmann https://apps.gnome.org/Boatswain/ kann angeblich Elgato Streamdecks kontrollieren.

@wouter @ravi In that regard: check out "Tom und das Erdbeermarmeladebrot mit Honig". It's on youtube. Simple, and the story follows a similar pattern each time.

@ravi yw :) https://www.wdrmaus.de/filme/sachgeschichten/a-bis-z.php5 has a the explanation videos, from steel recycling over how bridges are built to why bottle caps always have 21 edges.

@ravi For a mind-bending series: Dark
Das Leben der Anderen is also really good.
I can also recommend watching "Die Sendung mit der Maus". It's a kids show, but it's really good insofar as how they show how products are made in a way that is even relevant for adults.
