I fully recognize that the Torment Nexus harms the environment, artists, society at large and especially the babies being fed to it.

However, have you considered that it's very convenient actually and allows me to make CONTENT to CONSUME 2.7% faster.

Drink your water, you gitz.

You asked ai. Gross. I asked my neurodivergent friends online, and they are more accurate and use way less water. Mostly because they forget to drink it.

"Is that code llm-generated? If its llm-generated I dont want it."

Ma'am, that is 4 thousand lines of janked together reverse engineering tooling.

It has no deallocations, dependencies, or error checking.
It is an amalgamation of the code of several previous projects, stolen, hastily find-and-replaced, and ultimately inexorably joined in an unholy code obelisk.
God had no hand in the creation of this abhorrence.
This code was not written, it came to me in a manic episode.

This code is a written declaration of my contempt for the natural order.
The fact that this code exists proves that God is either impotent to alter her universe or ignorant to the horrors taking place in her kingdom.

Nice, my talks for #MRMCD were accepted.

I see a lot of "unpopular opinion" posts today. Let me add one more. There's something we working folk need more than unions. We need cooperatives. People working together and owning their work. More people actually seizing the means of production, less working for rich rentiers.

@navi understandable. That's what me me choose electrical engineering over computer science: Because it is pretty satisfying to see a LED blink at the end of the day.

Though I had to debug SPI and devicetrees today, so YMMV.

Again a productive train ride:

- Reviewed a MR for skim
- Rebased my own against debvm
- Opened a new MR against KiCad adding a TPM2.0 chip
- Did some uni work (begrudgingly)

@mirabilos thanks for the insight, that makes sense.

TIL Deutsche Bahn offers somewhat decent green tea on the board restaurant,

@mirabilos ah, thanks

@mirabilos eh, yeah, meant /etc/tty. Yeah, I know BSDs slightly differ, hence my question. The plan would be to read that - > check if /dev/ttyFOO exists - > then create a symlink for the getty service

Question for the #BSD community:

Am I correct in assuming on boot, /etc/tty is read and then init spawns serials consoles if the corresponding serial console exists under /dev?

Context is https://github.com/OpenRC/openrc/issues/1039

Thoughts/comments would be appreciated.
Also would be interested if anyone runs a #BSD with OpenRC.

My answer to "claude | bash" is the same as the one we had for "curl | bash" for decades - "just don't do it".

I don't understand how this is considered "controversial" or "not going with the times" as I fail to see a substantial difference between the two regarding their potential security / safety impacts.

So ... don't want your "agent" to go hack the facehugger site and delete all your emails? Just don't pipe its output directly into bash 🫠🫠
