உலகின் முன்னணி FOSS அமைப்பான Debian உடன் இணைந்து VGLUG அறக்கட்டளை நமது தமிழகத்தில் மினி டெபியன் மாநாட்டை (MiniDebConf Tamil Nadu 2023) விழுப்புரத்தில் நடத்த உள்ளது. இந்திய அளவில் 2023-இல் டெபியன் இந்தியா அமைப்பு நடத்தவுள்ள மாநாட்டிற்கான முன்னோட்ட நிகழ்வாக இந்த மாநாடு அமையவுள்ளது என்பதை மகிழ்வுடன் தெரிவித்து கொள்கிறோம்.

@Chip_Unicorn Hi, I've moved a few times. I find it helps to join things and volunteer. Look for clubs and community organisations aligned with your interests. Volunteer at festivals and in orgs. It takes time to start to feel like you fit in and to feel like an insider. My old man told me to figure on 2 years before fitting in. Seems like that got longer each move. Keep up your courage while people in whatever communities you approach get to know you, and you them. Happy Holidays

The bird site and an IRC network
Yup, bird land is still reminding me of freenode. Tweets can't mention or link to alternate social networks anymore just like chatters on freenode couldn't mention parallel irc networks such as libera libera. Both were bought by Big Egos (tm) who quickly destroyed them.
It's just occurred to me that what is happening these days is people are flippin' the bird to the bird

That icon is greyed out on every tag i've tried. Mouseovers show the alt text "Follow hashtag" but, the icon is inactive. Can anyone tell me the proper way to follow a tag?
@jfballenger This is the first time in my life I've been able to see my self as part of a visible minority. The grey hair and wrinkles give me away... 🤨
